It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 And He it is Who hath sown you broadcast in the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 It is He who gives life and causes death and it is He who alternates night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what their predecessors of yore had said. 81 They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will say, "To Allah!" say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?" 85 Ask them: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say: 'In whose hand is the dominion of everything, protecting and Himself unprotected, if you have knowledge?' 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 Nay, We have conveyed unto them the truth: and yet, behold, they are intent on lying [to themselves]! 90 God has never given birth to a son and there is no other god besides Him. If there were, each god would have taken away his creatures and claimed superiority over the others. God is too exalted to be as they believe Him to be. 91 The All Knowing, of every hidden and the visible – so Supremacy is to Him over their ascribing of partners (to Him). 92
