The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He has created man: 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
