Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
