Al-Furqaan 3 of 6
۞ And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence. 21 The day they see the angels there will be no happy tidings for the sinners; and they will say: "There is an insurmountable barrier!" 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. 24 On that day the sky will be crystal blue, clear of clouds. The angels will descend in groups 25 The real sovereignty will belong to Ar-Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels! 26 On that Day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, "Would that I had walked in the Messenger's path! 27 “Woe to me – alas, if only I had not taken that one for a friend.” 28 Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me; and the Shaitan fails to aid man. 29 And the Apostle will say: my Lord! verily my people took this Qur'an as a thing to be shunned. 30 And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the sinners and sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. 32 We will support you with the Truth and the best interpretation whenever the infidels argue against you. 33 The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. 34

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
