The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
