O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so fear Me.' 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
