Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 It is God who created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, in six spans, then assumed all authority. You have no protector other than Him, nor any intercessor. Will you not be warned even then? 4 He sends the regulation of the affair from the heavens to the earth, then on the day which is equal to one thousand years of yours, it will ascend to Him. 5 That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 6 He Who excelled in the creation of all that He created. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Say: The angel of death who is given charge of you shall cause you to die, then to your Lord you shall be brought back. 11
