The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass, 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 and a few from later times. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 and amid the extended shade 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 So made them as maidens. 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
