The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
