The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
