Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 we are the rangers, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
