Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 and they bar them from the Way, though they themselves think that they are guided. 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? 40 Even if We take thee away, We shall be sure to exact retribution from them, 41 or make you see the end that We had promised them, for We have full power over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path. 43 Verily it is a great source of eminence for you and your people, and soon you will be called to account concerning that. 44 Ask all Our Messengers whom We sent before you whether We had appointed any deities beside the Merciful One to be worshipped. 45
