The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
