A multitude of those of old 39 And a company of the later peoples. 40 And those on the left - how wretched are those on the left! 41 (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, 42 And a shade of black smoke, 43 neither cold nor graceful in shape. 44 Before they lived at ease, 45 But persisted in that greater sin, 46 and would say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 Say: The first and the last, 49 shall all be brought together on an appointed Day. 50 Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers, 51 Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom, 52 And will fill your bellies therewith; 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 lapping it down like thirsty camels.' 55 This is their entertainment on the day of requital. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 It is We Who ordained death upon you and We are not to be frustrated. 60 Had We so wished, nothing could have hindered Us from replacing you by others like yourselves, or transforming you into beings you know nothing about. 61 And assuredly ye have fully known the first production wherefore heed ye not? 62 Have you thought about what crops you plant? 63 is it you that sow it, or are We the Sower? 64 We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day, 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 nay, we have been robbed!' 67 And have you seen the water that you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 See ye the Fire which ye kindle? 71 Produce ye the tree thereof, or are We the Producer? 72 We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers, 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there. Using this feature in ColorfulQuran.com, you can easily read the Surahs according to the order of their revelation from The Embryo (Al-Alaq) to The Victory (An-Nasr), which is different from their positional order in the Holy Book from The Key (Al-Fatihah) to The People (An-Nas).
ColorfulQuran.com uses an English translation algorithm that combines several translations on one page. It randomly loads a different translation for each verse with equal probabilities. Each page places a combination of translators from varied cultures, sects, times, countries, cities, and backgrounds together in one room, reflecting unity in diversity, an essential feature of Islam. Translators can be Sunnis, Shiites, men, women, Muslims by birth, converts, ancient, or contemporary. There are also valid translations by non-Muslim translators. The list of translators is available at the end of each page. Click or tap the page number to reload a different combination. ColorfulQuran.com does not endorse or prefer any particular translation over another and displays it only for information.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
