[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 and ease my task for me, 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember You much: 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
