Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
