Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Indeed, the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Last Hour will be the most severe, and the most bitter. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
