Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
