Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [none but] he who has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers." 97 Whosoever is an enemy unto Allah and His angels and His apostles and Jibril and Mikail, then verily Allah is an enemy unto the infidels. 98 Verily We have revealed unto thee clear tokens, and only miscreants will disbelieve in them. 99 Why, whenever they make a promise do some of them cast it aside! Most of them do not believe. 100 And whenever there came unto them an apostle from Allah confessing to that which was with them, a party among those who were vouchsafed the Book cast Allah's Book behind their backs as though they knew not. 101 They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon: the blasphemers Were, not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men Magic, and such things as came down at babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew! 102 And if they had believed and feared Allah, then the reward from Allah would have been [far] better, if they only knew. 103
