Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 upon the straight path. 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft. 8 And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We have covered them, so that they see not. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
