And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
