Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
