The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
