Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
