Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
