And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
