And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve, from the Fire! 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 This is a blessed Book which We sent down to you [Muhammad], for people to ponder over its messages, and for those with understanding to take heed. 29 And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah). 30 [Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses. 31 he said, 'Lo, I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord, until the sun was bidden behind the veil. 32 He said, "Bring them back to me." Then he started to rub their legs and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said, 'My Lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely Thou art the All-giver.' 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, so that it blew gently, at his behest, wherever he willed, 36 and the Satans, every builder and diver 37 and others linked together in fetters. 38 'This is Our gift, give or withhold without reckoning' 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
