He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
