▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 Having numerous branches. 48 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 (The dwellers of Paradise) will recline on couches lined with silk brocade and it will be easy to reach the ripe fruits from the two gardens. 54 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness? 60 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 In which will be two fountains gushing forth. 66 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 67 Therein will be fruits and dates and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 therein maidens good and comely -- 70 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 71 [There the blessed will live with their] pure companions sheltered in pavilions. 72 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 73 Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. 74 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 75 Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. 76 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
