The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 that hide, 16 The closing night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
