The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
