By the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 Warn the men. 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
