Al-Naml 6 of 7
Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say: 'It may be that part of what you seek to hasten on is already riding behind you' 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 You cannot make the dead listen and the deaf are unable to hear calls. Thus, they turn back on their heels. 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
