Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know all that you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
