The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
