(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 Make my task easy 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
