In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
