3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
