Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
