Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Inevitable? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 Now as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by a violent upheaval [of the earth]; 5 and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous, 6 Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. 7 Can you see any of their survivors? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 They did not follow the Messenger of their Lord, and so He seized them with a severe grip. 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 On that Day, he whose Record is given to him in his right hand will say: “Lo! Read my Record! 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing 21 in a lofty garden, 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” 25 Nor that I knew my reckoning! 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My riches have not availed me, 28 Gone from me is my authority." 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 Then cast him into the burning fire, 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 Nor urged others to feed the poor. 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 which only the sinners will eat.” 37
