Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 watching over you 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
