The unbelieving assembly of his nation, who belied the encounter of the Everlasting Life, and on whom We had bestowed ease in this life, said: 'This is but a human like yourselves; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 "If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily! You indeed would be losers. 34 Does he promise you that when you are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, you will be brought forth to life? 35 ۞ What you are promised is indeed far-fetched. 36 This is our only life. We live and will die but we will never be brought back to life again. 37 He is naught but a man who has forged a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe in him. 38 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 39 Allah said: after a little while they will become regretful. 40 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, disobedient to His Messengers, etc.). 41 Then We produced after them other generations. 42 no nation outstrips its term, nor do they put it back. 43 Thereafter We sent Our apostles, successively. So oft as there came unto a community their apostle, they belied him, so We made them follow one another, and We made them bywords; so away with a people who believe not! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our miracles and clear proofs 45 to Pharaoh and to his chiefs, but they behaved superciliously and they were haughty. 46 And said: "Should we believe in two men like yourselves, whose people are our subjects?" 47 So they rejected them and became of those who were destroyed. 48 And certainly We gave Musa the Book that they may follow a right direction. 49 And We made the son of Maryam (Mary) and his mother as a sign, And We gave them refuge on high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams. 50
