And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. 76 certainly it is guidance and a blessing for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
