Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 thou art truly among the Envoys 3 On a straight path, 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft. 8 and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see. 9 It is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them for they shall not believe. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register. 12
