And recall what time Ibrahim said unto his father and his people: verily I am quit of that which ye worship. 26 Save Him Who did create me, for He will surely guide me. 27 This is the legacy he left to his descendants so that they may turn (to God). 28 In fact, I allowed them and their fathers to enjoy this life till the truth, and the apostle preaching it lucidly, came to them. 29 And when there came to them the truth they said: This is magic, and surely we are disbelievers in it. 30 They also said: 'Why was this Koran not sent down to a great man from the two Villages' 31 Is it they who distribute the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who have distributed their livelihood among them in the life of this world, and have raised some above others in rank that some of them may harness others to their service. Your Lord's Mercy is better than all the treasures that they hoard. 32 And were it not for that all people be on one religion, We would have made for the disbelievers of the Most Gracious, roofs and stairs of silver which they would climb. 33 And silver doors for their houses, and silver couches whereon they recline, 34 And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous. 35
