The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
