You shall not kill your offspring for fear of want. It is We who provide for them, and for you. Indeed, killing them is a great sin. 31 Do not even approach adultery. It is indecent and an evil act. 32 (ix) Do not kill any person whom Allah has forbidden to kill, except with right. We have granted the heir of him who has been wrongfully killed the authority to (claim retribution); so let him not exceed in slaying. He shall be helped. 33 Do not get close to the property of the orphans (unless it is for a good reason) until they are mature and strong. Keep your promise; you will be questioned about it. 34 Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with even scales. That is better, and fairer in the end. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; for the ear and the eye and the heart shall all be called to account. 36 (xiv) Do not strut about in the land arrogantly. Surely you cannot cleave the earth, nor reach the heights of the mountains in stature. 37 The evil of all this is odious in thy Sustainer's sight: 38 This is part of the divine revelations of wisdom that your Lord has sent down to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); and O listener, do not set up another God with Allah, for you will then be thrown into hell – rebuked, rebuffed. 39 Has then your Lord (O pagans of Makkah) preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself from among the angels daughters.
