3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
