Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
