Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In a high Garden 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
