Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the Wise Qur'an, 2 you are truly among the Messengers, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
